For the love of rats
Litters and Sales
I do not breed constantly, usually 1-2 litters at a time, and then take a break between homing and the next litter. I do not ever have all of my varieties available, so it may be a long wait to have exactly what you are looking for! If you wish to be placed on my waiting list, please fill in the adoption application below.
Before completing the sales application, please note:
-
I breed both standard and dumbo eared rats but the majority of my rats are standard eared.
-
Rats are reserved at 4-5 weeks and may go home at 7-8 weeks.
-
You need to have at least two rats, but I will give preference to owners keeping a minimum of three. Rats just do better in small groups and you are never left with a single rat if the second rat dies unexpectedly.
-
Rats are R200 each. You pay for a healthy, socialized and parasite free animal from a line selected to be friendly, outgoing and people orientated. These pups need very little trust training and no vet care on arrival and some will already be litter box trained by the time they go home. You do not pay more for rare varieties but pay for the cost and effort going into raising quality animals.
-
Upon collection of your rats you will receive enough food to last your babies a week, as well as a birth certificate and a care guide for your rats.
-
I am willing ship rats to major airports around South Africa, but flights are somewhat expensive and preparing crates is very labor intensive. flights as well as the cost of the flight boxes will be at the cost of the adopter. It is advised to purchase rats from a local breeder instead. Feel free to ask for a referral to a breeder closer to you.

Buying rats for breeding purposes are subject to conditions.
